Osaka (Japan), February 22, 2024 - Maruho Co., Ltd. ("Maruho"; Head Office: Osaka; President and CEO, Atsushi Sugita) announces the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary "Maruho Pharmaceutical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd." in China and started operations today.

1.Purpose of Establishment

Maruho has been formulating and implementing business strategies in China and other Asian countries and regions under its 5th Medium-Term Plan, which started in October 2023, and which calls for "Taking a new step in global expansion." By establishing "Maruho Pharmaceutical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.", we will develop pharmaceutical products in China and make further contributions to patients suffering from skin diseases.
