In order to provide such disease-specific information for as many relevant patients as possible, Maruho has launched various initiatives, including renewing the corporate website for patients and using the LINE social media app to communicate information. In the future, expecting the dissemination of online clinical consultation, we are planning to accelerate development of tools and solutions to connect medical professionals and patients.* PIT (Patient Initiated Therapy): A therapy for recurrent herpes simplex, allowing patients to take a previously prescribed drug at their discretion when a symptom of herpes developsMaruho is working to establish a new system of information provision for medical professionals in order to promptly respond to diverse medical needs. Starting from 2020, Maruho has evolved MRs into “area leaders” specialized in providing information based on regional characteristics and “medical specialists” who provide professional information on specific diseases, in the hope that close cooperation between them will help expedite sharing and analysis of cases and networking. In response to the shift in information channels due to the spread of COVID-19, the Company is also making efforts to promote the use of digital media, such as standardizing remote interviews and updating the corporate website for medical professionals. Moreover, we are working to provide information for other medical professionals involved in the treatment of skin diseases, not only for dermatologists.We use YouTube, the Company website, and social media to communicate information.
