Founder:
Eikuma Koba
Eikuma Koba signed an agreement with Mulford Laboratories of the United States and founded Maruho Shoten in Doshomachi, Higashi-ku, Osaka.

Maruho Shoten(1920)
The Company became Maruho Shoten, a limited partnership.
Changed the name to Maruho Shoten Co., Ltd.
Under the special Industrial Adjustment Act during the war, Maruho merged with Wakyo Pharmaceuticals.

Jiro Takagi
Maruho Shoten Co., Ltd. once again established.

Hirudoid marketed for sale.

Changed the name to Maruho Co., Ltd.
Posterisan Forte marketed for sale.

Mobilat marketed for sale.

Hikone Plant completed.
Hikone Plant completed.
Published the Collection of Haiku from the Showa Era for Maruho's 70th anniversary.
Head office moved to the current location.

Drug Development Laboratories
Established Central Research and Development Laboratories in Kyoto.
Announced our long term vision titled "Global Boutique Company for Dermatology"
Presented new corporate logo.

Drug Discovery Research Laboratories
Established Drug Discovery Research Laboratories in Kyoto.
Opened London Office

Constructed new production building the fourth at Hikone Plant.
The 2007 Porter Prize for single-business companies was awarded.
